Amelia turns FIVE today! I know it’s cliche, but seriously, where in the world has the time gone?!
Last night I laid in bed with her for a long time and told her stories about each of her birthdays. She loves hearing about what she was like when she was little(er). Can you believe the difference from her first birthday to now?! (and also the difference in Momma’s photog skills/equipment, hah!)
She has grown so much in the past year! She started her 4th year with a birthday bash at our house in Georgia, went to all day preschool in the fall, went to Disney World this spring, moved to North Carolina and we just got back from a trip to the beach with lots of trips to PopPop + Granny’s and Papaw’s and Grandma’s in between! She loves playing legos with Daddy, singing and dancing, playing Barbies and dolls, dressing up, sketching and coloring, riding her bike, hoola-hooping, playing in Mommy’s make-up, brushing her hair, blowing up balloons, watching talking dog movies, and she still LOVES milk. My girl is getting big but she’s still got some little kids bits, like her sweet little dimples in her knuckles and the way she still needs me to snuggle with her at bedtime.
I know 5 will be a big adventure with Kindergarten coming up soon, but I know my brave girl will do her best and knock it out of the park.
I am so glad that God chose Luke and I to be her parents, she is definitely our little firecracker but we wouldn’t have it any other way. She challenges me to be braver, love more, speak louder, fight harder and learn all I can so I can teach her how to be the kindest and hardest working person the world has ever known. I am so proud of the little lady she is becoming!
